TERM 1 - The basics of choral singing. 11th - 25th October, 3 weeks £25

TERM 2 - Crafting a set of songs for the group. 8th November - 20th December 7 weeks £60

Bearwood has a new Yule choir starting on Thursday evenings 6.30 - 8pm. I am looking for enthusiastic adults wishing to learn how to sing in a group. I will teach you how to get the best from your voices, and how to work in a singing group. I will tell you what role in a choral group your voice is best suited to, such as singing the main tune, or will give you more challenging work if you are confident in doing so, such as singing harmonies. You will have the opportunity to merge with other singing and instrumental groups I teach and perform at such as the 'Bearwood Xmas Tree Lights Switch-on' on the 6th December at Lightwoods House, 'Thimblemill Library Yule Concert' on the 15th December and more. No experience or ability to read notation is necessary. All paperwork and music is provided.

Learn how to; breathe effectively, sing the main melody, sing parallel, contrary and drone harmony, sing a harmony above or below the main tune, arrange voices, hold your own part.
